INFINIVERSE by Clara McClean
Infiniverse
exists afar.
The “universe” is Infinite
Not only have Clara McClean and Ernest Pierce performed the royal and difficult task of welding the scientific mind with the literary image, but, what is rarer, they have done it in perfect, lyrical verse. They have blended their philosophies of Science, Life and God into a melodic potpourri. Their metaphysical conceptions are based on the famous and fascinating theories of a “wave-universe”. Whenever necessary, the two poets have formed new word concepts to interpret their metaphysical cosmos. Yet, throughout, their verse is pleasant and easily read; their ideas simply and intelligently formed; and their scope all-inclusive and pertinent;
“The frailest thing is pertinent, Mr. Pierce, a Cleveland manufacturer, conceived the word “Infiniverse” in an inspirational moment, after many years of study in economic, politics and religion. The great tradition of philosophy was also instrumental in his discovery. The title of the book was parent of the contents, wherin a family of words closely joined in spirit became the unit to amplify Infiniverse, meaning All. Clara McClean, an artist, who has painted murals for the government, now finds her greatest satisfaction in the written word as a medium of expression. From her father, Dr. S. N. McClean, a noted inventor of firearms, she received the heritage that provided her with the original background needed for collaboration in this book, where science and mechanics of the present age are used as poetic material.
